Team Week-end 36 was AMAZING! After a long, but fun day of preparation, we finally made it to Carpenteria Community Church. When team members arrived, we played some classic LOG games and some new ones! We then carved pumpkins. It was amazing—everyone was drinking sparkling cider, laughing, and posing with the pumpkins!

Then we headed to Foster’s Freeze for a late night snack. Afterwards, we played the most FUN game of sardines in the dark church. Everyone had a blast. And we, the co-leaders, found the best hiding spot ever! Dance Dance Revolution was also a hit – especially with the projector and Tony Lazarri dancing half the night!

As the clock rounded past midnight, we had a trust walk, a creation story, and a GIGANTIC ice cream sundae! Three gallons of ice cream + loads of candy + mounds of whipped cream + chocolate and caramel syrup = yummy! We also had a whipped cream fight. Although the clean-up was intense, we had such an amazing time. While the night progressed, we watched movies and hung out.

Saturday Morning: Rise and Shine…to the Hamster Song (da da dee da dee da dooo dooo….). After breakfast, with Tony’s special eggs, we had a beautiful worship service outside. It was a powerful experience, starting off our day praising God in the fresh morning air.

Throughout the morning, we played really fun games. Crab soccer was so competitive! And the guys beat the girls in the couch game twice (world record!).

Before lunch, we had a wonderful prayer time, bringing us back to focus on God.

During the afternoon, we danced (Beat it!), sang, played games, and had personal time with Jesus.

The highlight of the afternoon was an intense FLOUR FIGHT…which everyone thought was absolutely amazingly fun. We were all covered from head to toe in flour!

Ending our week-end with a wonderful worship service, we closed with our favorite song, “The Benediction”.

We’re so thankful that it went so well – it was the best team week-end yet! Our team is amazing this LOG. Everyone knows each other, there are no cliques, and all are dedicated, wonderful people.

YAY TEAM WEEK-END 36!!!
~ TJ

Our Spirit Team leaders are Nick Sarrichio, Sandy Chardon, Kaylyn Spector, and Taylor Williams. They are amazing, energetic individuals who love God very much, and we are so excited to have them help us throughout this LOG process!

Each of these leaders and their teams came up with some pretty awesome names. “Us and Him”, “The Surfing Baboons”, “The Sofas del Fuego”, and “Have Another Nutter Butter Peanut Butter Sandwich Cookie Hotline” are this LOG’s spirit teams! The spirit teams are made up of about 7 teens who pray and have discussions together every Sunday. Also, the teams compete in different games each week. Throughout the team process, they earn points—the team with the most points by LOG gets a prize!

Additionally, the dates for Team Week-end are set. So, team members, mark your calendars for October 26th and 27th!

Wahoo for LOG 36!
In His amazing Love,
TJ
(Tyler and Jenae)
