This is just for fun... Apple has a new feature for those of you that purchase music through iTunes. You can have a widget custom made to show your recent purchases to the world. Above is the widget for my purchases. What do you think? If you press on any of the passing artists, it will take you to the albums I have purchased. If you have iTunes, you will be whisked away to listen to and possibly buy the selected music. This is just for fun, and I am in no way trying to support iTunes, although I do love Apple. ;) Let me know what you think.

This video is of our Good Friday Service that happened yesterday evening. There were a lot of people that helped make this service special. From Pastor Steve and Suzanne working out the readings and structure, to Jeannie making the programs, and to our very own Middlers that played an important visual role as they led the congregation through the Stations of the Cross acting out Pilot, the Guards, Simon, and Jesus.

I was personally touched by this service and the high quality of worship that it provided. While this video cannot fully communicate the actual service’s meaning, I hope that you may be touched by the love and grace that comes through Jesus’ death on the Cross.

So I stumbled upon this site called GodTube. It is a christian spin off of YouTube. Like YouTube, not everything on GodTube is worth watching. We are going to try a little experiment; I am going to try to find some worth while videos and when I do, I will post them here. To start this off, I didn’t want to set the bar too high. This video is of an actual summer camp activity. This is why we have medical waver forms signed by your parents. Would I let any of you try this, probably not.

Do I think this video is awesome? Yes! Enjoy...
These day, I am reading several books, which is weird because I have never been much of a book worm. One book that has stayed in my mind throughout the day is Contemplative Youth Ministry: Practicing the Presence of Jesus by Mark Yaconelli. This is a book about slowing down to spend time with God, and not the daily busyness that can easily envelope us.

The great thing about this book is the refreshment of my spirit as it reminds me to seek after God, the Shepherd who wants to spend time with His flock. This year is going to certainly be busy, but as this year’s path is revealed, I desire to walk it with God in the lead, at His pace.

This book as intentionally called me into God’s presence in a familiar, yet wholly new way. The purpose of being with the Shepherd is to know Him, and then, to be like Him to the rest of His flock. Our relationship with God does not stop with us, it cannot. God is a relationship to Himself, three persons in one being. As we spend time with God and get to know Him, we begin to understand that relationship with others is a part of following Him. We must reach out to others to know Him fully.

A well only stays full if it consistently has water being drawn. Once it is left alone, the water dries up and only sand can be drawn from its depths. This year I am spending time with God in a new way, with a hope to be filled with His living water, so that it can be drawn from, through relationship with you.
